Abstract. The present work presents the semantics, forms and significant uses of the conclusive in the modern Bulgarian language. Emphasis is placed on form matching, which leads to inaccurate representation of uses of the indicative perfect and to the misrepresentation of the conclusive aorist in indirect speech as the indicative perfect. In a separate subsection, important uses of the infinitive in the modern Bulgarian language are considered. The aim is to support the presentation of the conclusive in the study of Bulgarian as a foreign language.
Keywords: evidentiality; conclusive/inferential; renarrative; dubitative; Bulgarian as foreign language
