THE “FOOD ON CANVAS” TRAINING COURSE AS A CREATIVE APPROACH TO CROSS-CURRICULAR LEARNING

Abstract. The article presents the training course “Food on Canvas”, which addresses several fields of education and training – Culinary Arts, Art History, English, Health education along with some elements of Museum education and focuses on the course curriculum as well as some the teaching resources including online course. The course offers open educational resources, which are flexible e-learning paths suited for both autonomous and teacher facilitated learning. The idea of the course is to promote teaching Culinary Arts in the Visual Arts Historical and Cultural Context, to perfect English speaking skills by involving our students into various activities related to arts, food consumption and the language acquisition. We want our students to be aware that getting in the habit of being productive in all aspects of their lives will dictate the quality of their lives. The course consists of various activities – lectures, tutorials, master classes, small projects, independent tasks and educational trips to museums.

Absract. В съвременната бързо променяща се среда се наблюдава нуждата организациите да отговорят на предизвикателствата по най-ефективен и ефикасен начин. Тезата на този текст има за цел да посочи едно от потенциалните взаимодействия, които е много вероятно да подкрепят успеха на организациите в близко бъдеще. В тази статия бихме искали да привлечем вниманието към синергията между функциите „фасилити мениджмънт“ и управление на човешките ресурси, които могат да се използват за изграждане на така необходимoто конкурентно предимство, за изграждането на балансирана организационна екология чрез привличане и задържане на най-добрите таланти и за изграждане на среда за доставяне на най-добри резултати в съответната област.
Взаимодействието между различните функции може да даде възможност (или да ограничи) трансформационната промяна, насочена към постигане на такава ефективност. Тясното сътрудничество между фасилити мениджмънт и управление на човешките ресурси може да бъде пример, който ще достави желания резултат.

SYNERGY BETWEEN THE FUNCTIONS FACILITY MANAGEMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES IN MODERN ORGANIZATIONS
Abstract. In todays fast changing environment there is need for organizations to respond to the challenges in the most effective and efficient way. The thesis of this text is aiming to point one of the potential interactions that is very likely to support organizational success in near future. This article would like to bring attention to the synergy between Facilities Management and Human Resources Management that can be used for giving the organizations so much needed competitive advantage of building the balanced organizational ecology that is able to maintain itself by attracting and retaining top talents and provide the environment for delivering the best results in the respective field.
Synergy between different functions can enable (or constrain) transformational change aiming at achieving such efficiency. The conjunction between Facility Management and Human Resources Management can be an example that will deliver such effect. There is a bridge between, on the one hand build environment and facilities management, focused on real estate provision and on the other business and management studies.

Absract. Развитието на куриерските оператори в условията на засилена конкуренция зависи от конкурентоспособността на предлаганите от тях услуги. С цел повишаване на качеството много оператори осъзнаха необходимостта от овладяване на фундаменталните знания, свързани с изучаване на потребителското поведение, и прилагането на получените резултати в реалната си дейност. Целта на настоящата разработка е да се изследва и анализира поведението на индивидуалните потребители на куриерски услуги на конкретен оператор. За нуждите на анализа е проведено наблюдение на място, както и анкетно проучване за степента на удовлетвореност на индивидуалните потребители. Изчислени са съвкупен бал и средна стойност по всеки един от изучаваните показатели. На тази основа са изведени насоки за подобряване на конкурентоспособността на услугите на оператора – обект на изследване.

CUSTOMER BEHAVIOUR IN BUYING COURIER SERVICES
Abstract. The development of courier operators in terms of increased competition depends on the competitiveness of their services. In order to increase the quality of service many operators realize the necessity of mastering the fundamental knowledge related to the study of consumer behaviour and application of the results in real business. The purpose of this paper is to explore and analyse the behaviour of individual users of courier services to a particular operator. The spot monitoring and survey on the degree of consumer satisfaction are conducted. The aggregate score and the average value of each of the studied parameters are calculated. The main factors in achieving competitiveness of the courier operator are being identified.

Дадено е съкратено описание за създаване на контекстно меню в мобилни приложения за Android. Описани са основите за създаване на бази от данни със SQLite.

CREATING MOBILE APPLICATIONS IN EXTRACURRICULAR LESSONS IN INFORMATICS
Abstract. This paper presents training materials for students to create mobile apps in extracurricular lessons in informatics. Example thematic distribution for teaching is proposed. Methodological aspects are considered. Introduction to mobile programming with language Java and programming environment Eclipse is made. A short description to create a context menu in mobile applications for Android is given. The foundations for creating databases with SQLite are described.

Често пъти в преподавателската си практика сме попадали в ситуацията на задоволство от това, че сме разказали дадена тема прекрасно, упражнили сме основите понятия достатъчно, направили сме крачка в по-дълбоки води и сме поставили домашна работа, чрез която ще потвърдим общата картина, че всичко е разбрано и усвоено както го усещаме. …Докато не се окаже, че сме сбъркали в преценката си не защото не сме обективни към себе си, а защото сме субективни към обратната страна – тази на ученика.

Absract. Авторът представя резултатите от изследване, което регистрира отношението и нагласите на учениците към културните институти – художествена галерия и музей. Анкетирани са четири класа: два класа ученици от основно училище в Шефилд (Stradbroke School – Sheffield, UK) и 2 класа от ОУ „Иван Вазов“ – Русе. Оценени са предпочитанията на учениците за посещение на музей или галерия в компанията на връстници, учители или родители. Дадени са насоки за развиване на ново отношение към културните институти, за превръщането им в предпочитано интелектуално, емоционално и духовно пространство.

LET’S CATCH THE GOLD FISH! PLACES FOR STUDYING
Abstract. The author presents the results of a study that measures the attitudes of students towards cultural institutes – Art Gallery and Museum. Four classes are questioned – two classes of students from elementary school in Sheffield, England (Stradbroke School – Sheffield, UK) and two classes from “Ivan Vazov” Elementary School in Ruse, Bulgaria. The preferences of students to visit the museum or gallery in the company of peers, teachers or parents are measured. Guide lines on developing new attitude towards cultural institutes for turning them in a favorite intellectual, emotional and spiritual space are given.
