The journal Mathematics and Informatics (Mathematics and Informatics) accepts manuscripts which have not been sent for publication elsewhere. When sending a manuscript to the Journal, the Author explicitly declares that the manuscript is not already submitted or under consideration for publication elsewhere.
By submitting a manuscript, the Author agrees to follow the Guidelines, requirements and ethical principles for scientific research publishing. The latter’s violation will be considered a refusal of cooperation between the Author and the Journal in future.
Manuscripts that do not correspond to the journal’s scope or manuscripts that are not prepared according to the Guidelines will be rejected without going through blind peer review’s procedure.
Manuscripts are to be submitted through the electronic system ScholarOne at the following address: https://mc04.manuscriptcentral.com/mathinfo
The submitted articles must contain original ideas and scientific results. The circumstantial description of widely known theories, terms or definitions which are easily accessible elsewhere is not encouraged. The journal reserves the right not to publish a text which, upon examination, reveals a degree of similarity higher than 20%.
The decision for publication or rejection of a manuscript is based on the opinions of anonymous and independent reviewers. The journal informs the author whether the manuscript has been accepted or rejected.
Manuscript preparation
(1) Manuscripts may be submitted in Bulgarian or in English depending on the author’s preference or on the reviewers' recommendation.
(2) The recommended character count of the manuscript is up to 25 000 characters.
(3) The cited literature should be presented in the list of references in accordance with APA Style 7th Edition (2020). Sources in the Cyrillic script must be enumerated in a separate section called „Литература“ (Literature), as well as repeated transliterated in the main list of sources (References). References to literature which is irrelevant to the submitted text are not encouraged. Enumeration of sources not used in the text is not permitted. Self-citation is not recommended.
(4) Reference to sources, which do not fulfil the criteria for a scientific article, should be done in a special Notes section.
(5) You can follow the layout of the articles in Bulgarian and in English in the samples given below:
Important: The DocX samples use the CMU Serif font. It is embedded in the document and with newer Microsoft Word versions there should not be any problems. However, if any arise, you must download and install the font to your computer. The font is distributed freely, but it is not available by default in the Windows operating system.
Proofs
Before publication of the accepted manuscripts the authors receive proofs of their articles, which are to be returned to the editors within a week. No significant changes to the text are permitted at this stage.
Preprints
The rights to the published text belong to the journal. The published .pdf file is not to be distributed freely, including in academic and social networks intended for sharing the results of scientific research (eg. ResearchGate.net and Academia.edu).
Final words
By sending a text and/or an illustration to the Editorial Board, the author agrees to give up the rights of their announcement, publication and distribution with the purpose of promoting the publishing house’s other journals, to the publisher – "Az-buki" National Publishing House.
The author agrees to give "Az-buki" National Publishing House the exclusive rights to use any text and/or illustration published in the journal for the duration of three years, regardless of the territory on which the publisher has the right to use the text in accordance with Bulgarian Copyrights law.
Publication of the submitted materials is decided by the reviews' recommendation and does not necessarily signify the Editorial Board's agreement with the authors' views. The editors may edit the manuscripts, should that be necessary.
Publication in the journal is free for both the authors for and their scientific or educational organisations.
