education is one of the European priorities in the process of a Single European Area. As part of the European education area, our country has put the qualification system for the development of pedagogical staff in a new standardized regime. The research study provides a theoretical overview and justification of the legislative changes in this direction. On the basis of own teaching and training experience, a normative, methodological, thematic and motivational section of the procedural side of the continuing qualification of the teachers is made. The main research core of the study is the integrative methodological complex, researched and verified in training of teachers for continuing qualification. It is considered as a construct of the procedural side of the theoretically reviewed training and is directly related to the thematic and motivational aspect. Together with mistakes, misjudgements, miscalculations and wrong assumptions are indispensable aspects of learning skills and acquiring information. The mistakes one makes are gradually reduced as one learns from those mistakes. The provision of feedback from the environment facilitates the eventual learning. In this respect, language learning is no exception. The points of departure for the present study was to see whether the basic options and features in one such model (Long cited in Allwright and Bailey, 1991) were viable modes of error correction in the classroom. A questionnaire was prepared based on Long\u2019s model in an attempt to see if the same decision-making process was followed by teachers in actual learning situations. Likewise, a similar study was also prepared to have an insight into the students\u2019 perspective on error correction.\u00a0 The results of the present study (teachers\u2019 responses in particular) tend to confirm the viability of Long\u2019s model. style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>\u00a0Abstract.<\/strong> In this article, the author presents some problematic areas of the Bulgarian educational system related to ethnocentrism and unforgettable inertia from the near and farther past. The author\u2019s opinion is supported by materials from field ethnographic researches and some publications dealing with the issue under consideration. Ethnocentrism is represented in its negative side in some history lessons and also in the literature that do not take into account the feelings of Bulgarian citizens of Turkish ethnic origin and Muslim religious background. As a weakness of our educational system, the practical absence of materials referring to the history and culture of the minority communities in Bulgaria is mentioned. The text also shows that this is a weakness of the educational systems of European countries at all, which in turn hampers the integration of minority communities into societies of state-building European nations. Whether we will judge refugees and other people with migrant background as dangerous and unnecessary or will mobilize efforts to integrate them is a matter of both the present and the future of Europe.
