importance to practice. The language acquisition problem is revealed as central for cognitive science and the characteristics of the fi rst and second language acquisition have been traced out. It is underlined that the child builds up unique brain architecture to correspond completely to the peculiarities of the fi rst language without any limitations. The features of language acquisition and learning outlined by cognitive and computer science have been shown as well as the increasing with age importance of social and cultural factors.
